Our history
At No Cure No Rest, Inc., we believe that until there is a cure, there can be no rest. Originally founded in 2010 as a grassroots effort using the hashtag #NOCURENOREST to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, we have since grown into a fully recognized 501(c)(3) Community Based Organization. Today, we are dedicated to promoting HIV/AIDS awareness, education, testing, and research, with a mission to empower affected communities and work toward a world free from the stigma and impact of HIV.
Our mission
The mission of No Cure No Rest, Inc. is to empower underserved communities through comprehensive HIV/AIDS awareness, education, and proactive initiatives. We strive to halt the spread of HIV by providing free rapid testing, raising funds for critical research, and addressing barriers such as stigma and healthcare inequities. Beyond HIV-specific efforts, we are committed to supporting the community in broader capacities, addressing social, economic, and health-related challenges to foster resilience, inclusivity, and overall well-being for all.

Global HIV Statistics
The following data highlights the state of the global HIV epidemic:
- 39.0 million people globally were living with HIV in 2022 [range: 33.1 million–45.7 million].
- 1.3 million people became newly infected with HIV in 2022 [range: 1.0 million–1.7 million].
- 630,000 deaths occurred due to AIDS-related illnesses in 2022 [range: 480,000–880,000].
- 29.8 million people were accessing antiretroviral therapy in 2022.
- Since the start of the epidemic, 85.6 million people have become infected with HIV [range: 64.8 million–113.0 million].
- 40.4 million people have died from AIDS-related illnesses [range: 32.9 million–51.3 million].
Demographics of People Living with HIV (2023)
- 39.0 million people were living with HIV [range: 33.1 million–45.7 million].
- 37.5 million were adults (15 years or older) [range: 31.8 million–43.6 million].
- 1.5 million were children (0–14 years) [range: 1.2 million–2.1 million].
- 53% of all people living with HIV were women and girls.
- 86% of people with HIV knew their status in 2022
- Approximately 5.5 million people remained unaware of their HIV status in 2022.

There is no known cure for HIV/AIDS. Continued education, testing, and treatment are essential in managing and preventing the spread of this epidemic.
